Current Robots in Stock
I figured we should give some idea of what telepresence robots we have available at the moment. Telepresence is the idea of having a robot located at a different location an being able to login remotely thru the Internet and do something with the Robot. Usually its for a controllable web cam experience with or without sound.
Current models of robots being used for testing purposes.
Charmed Labs Qwerk micro controller- it works great with the CMU software but I don’t really need it anymore so its For Sale.
iRobot Create- pretty cool, its a great base platform but not alot of uses at the moment it too is for sale as I used it with the Qwerk.
iRobot ConnectR- Super well done by the guys, but not available and its gonna be pricey and probably windows only when it first comes out. Yup no web interface.
Wowwee Rovio-Interesting product, hate driving it with all 33 wheels, but it works and the Cam has great hackability. Don’t buy it to drive it.
Erector Spykee-Just got it for Christmas so still messing with it. Not sure but I like the motion detecting part.
Again we are in the process of testing them to find the good bad and ugly we will post more detail soon on each bot. As this is just the beginning of the robot world!
